Grand Canyon Overnight Camping/ Lodging
Spend two days and a night in the magnificent Grand Canyon – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World of the World – created by the forces of the mighty Colorado River over two billion years! See the immense Hoover Dam, stroll along the canyon rim, enjoy a wide variety of hikes through the world’s largest natural theatre and more!
Highlights:
Your first stop is at Hoover Dam to appreciate its sheer size and the ingenuity behind its creation. Next you’ll journey to the birthplace of Historic Route 66 and enjoy a brief stop in Williams, home of the Grand Canyon’s famous railway.
Once at the magnificent Grand Canyon itself, carved by the mighty Colorado River over a mind-blowing period of two billion years, you’ll have the choice to stroll along the rim, observe the depth of the canyon or take an optional helicopter ‘flightseeing’ ride (extra payable locally).
Alternatively, you can take it easy on your South Rim Tour and simply relax and enjoy the spectacular view over a coffee in one of the cafes.
Your guide will lead you to a secret rim ledge where you can enjoy the spectacle of the sun setting over the Grand Canyon away from the crowds.
Your evening can be spent at one of the cosy bars or local restaurants in the small town of Tusayan or relaxing around the campfire before retiring for the night and awaking to the sun rising over the canyon – yet another unforgettable sight.
The new day provides many options. Enjoy an optional tour to Desert View which sits on the east rim of the National Park or explore the South Rim. There are also endless photo opportunities and rangers programmes to enjoy before you head back to the bright lights of Vegas after a full day in the Grand Canyon park.
PLEASE NOTE - this tour is not suitable for children under the age of 7. The adult rate will apply to children aged 7 and above.
Availability: Available on Saturdays during August and September.
Departure and Return Times: Day 1 departure at approx. 8am and Day 2 return at approx. 7pm.
Duration: Overnight.
Hotel Transfers: Complimentary round-trip transfers from Las Vegas hotels within 3-miles of the Strip are included.
Transport: You’ll travel in a modern, spacious, air-conditioned 9 or 13-seater minibus.
You will only ever travel in a small group on only 13 people or less!
Lodging: Lodging is provided in 3* accommodation or equivalent on a twin same sex or couple sharing basis.
Guide: You will be accompanied by an English-speaking driver/guide.
Optional Extras: Grand Canyon helicopter flight (booked and paid locally).
Accessibility: This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems.
