Clos Lucé Castle built just beside the Amboise Castle, built first as a defense castle was later transformed leisure castle where Leonardo de Vinci spent the mast years of its life, many inventions of Leonardo are displayed. Château de Chambord is arguably one of the most recognizable chateaux in the world due to its architectural blend of medieval and Renaissance design, giving it a quintessentially French appearance. Chambord is the most typical representation of a castle with a keep, corner towers, and a moat. It is the largest Chateau in the Loire region and boasts 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases.
